中巴經濟走廊（CPEC）作為“一帶一路”關鍵發展區域，長期面臨自然災害的威脅。數字化平臺和大數據技術為災害管理提供了新的可能。針對中巴經濟走廊科研數據分散、共享機制薄弱等難題，王卷樂研究團隊研發了數字中巴經濟走廊平臺。該平臺利用豐富的數字地圖呈現本區域的數字化地理景觀，為在該區域開展的基于時空數據的各類科研活動提供支持。數字中巴經濟走廊平臺框架包括7大分支走廊，分別是本底走廊、時空走廊、圈層走廊、防災減災走廊、可持續發展走廊、領域應用專題走廊和衛星走廊。平臺的數據資源將支持中巴經濟走廊防災減災和區域可持續發展。

研究團隊還多次在巴基斯坦舉辦“一帶一路資源環境科學數據共享與防災減災知識服務”國際培訓班，積極推動該平臺在青年科學家和防災減災專員中的實際應用，助力提升巴方在災害防控與應急響應方面的本土化能力。

相關研究成果在《International Journal of Disaster Risk Science》《Ecological Indicators》《Journal of Mountain Science》等國際期刊上發表。研究成果得到了“中國-巴基斯坦地球科學研究中心”、國家重點研發計劃項目“典型重大自然災害衛星應急技術系統研制與應用示范”及中國工程科技知識中心防災減災知識服務系統等項目的資助與支持。
